About the Alpine Runners
The Alpine Runners Club is one of the largest clubs in the Chicago area with over 300 members. The club is well known for its annual training programs to prepare novice and seasoned runners for all race distances, with guidance by certified running coaches, training professionals and experienced members.
Each summer, the club hosts the Alpine Races for adults and children, with the support of club volunteers, the community and local sponsors. Throughout the year, Club members meet regularly on weekdays and weekends for group runs. The Saturday morning training runs in Lake Zurich are the most popular group events and take place year-round.
