  • Held over an 8-week period starting in May and again in August.
  • Training runs are held on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at Paulus Park
  • Training is free to Alpine members (single-year membership (link to membership page) is $35.00).
  • For registration information and questions, please contact us (link to contact us page).

Alpine Runners 10-Mile and Half Marathon Training Programs:

These 14-week training programs will get you from an aerobic fitness level of running 2 miles to finishing a 10-mile or half-marathon race. You should be able to have a fitness level of running up to 15 minutes consistently.

Alpine Runners are following a modified version of Hal Higdon's training programs:

Alpine Runners Fall Marathon Training Program Starting in June, Alpine Runners hosts its own Bank of America Chicago Marathon Training Program, which also coincides with the timing of many other marathons held in the fall. Check our Calendar page (link to Calendar page) for more details!
